Project Update

• 24 Jun 2010 Burham's community trail is now officially open following a fantastic launch event at the village hall on 19th June. Willow sculptures and artwork made by local children in workshops with artist Martin Brockman were on display. There was also the opportunity to look at the amazing timber sculpture and carved waymarkers soon to be installed along the trail. The temporary sound installation in the old church at Burham marshes taking you on a journey from the source of the Medway to the sea was brilliant. The day was a great success and Valley of Visions would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that was involved for all their hard work and to those who came along to support the event.
• 24 May 2010 Burham Community Trail Launch - Sat 19th June, 2 - 5pm. Come along and enjoy this fun-filled event in Burham to celebrate the wildlife, heritage and people of the local area and to launch Burhams newly created community trail. Art work, willow sculptures and banners made by local groups in workshops led by artist Martin Brockman will be showcased and a focus of the celebration. There will also be an opportunity to explore the community trail. Further information will appear here and around the village shortly.
• 30 Mar 2010 The Burham community trail is really starting to take shape thanks to the hard work of the parish council and local residents. Benches, carved waymarkers and an informative leaflet are already underway. When completed, the route will showcase the wonderful and varied landscape of Burham from Burham Marsh, to the top of the Downs and around the village itself.
